Rosslyn Park New Residence

Client Brief

To create a modern home with focussed around entertaining and lifestyle.
The clients have two adult children who live with them some of the time and wanted a home that could be divided to give their children their own area to live and entertain while maintaining the remainder of their home for themselves to enjoy.
The brief also required the home to be set up for wheelchair access.

Design Theory

Exterior
The client wanted to create an interesting modern exterior incorporating a lap pool and alfresco entertaining area. We incorporated the use of contrasting render, and stone to provide interest  to a small façade and continued that around the side elevation.

Interior
Simple clean and timeless was again the order of the day for this project. The use of polished timber floors and neutral warm internal colours provided a warm and inviting home. We designed the bathrooms with a minimal feel that maximised space and light with one specifically designed for wheelchair access.  The kitchen was designed to accommodate all members of the family and is certainly the heart of the home. The raked ceiling and high level windows as well as the adjoining alfresco area create an amazing space to relax and entertain.
A cellar also provided some interesting challenges and with the use of a dumb waiter provides an interesting feature to the home.

Results

We have created a modern masterpiece with an extensive and challenging client brief. The house is wheelchair friendly without appearing clinical. Amazing architectural features such as raked ceilings and picture windows have provided a home that is interesting, luxurious and timeless in atmosphere.
