Client Brief

To create a modern esplanade home that takes advantage of the amazing outlook while providing the latest in modern conveniences.
The clients wanted to create a low maintenance home with large open spaces to entertain in that maximised the ocean views.
The brief was to design a home that did justice to the value of the property and provided the clients with a “wow” factor for entertaining and everyday living.

Design Theory

Exterior
The client wanted to create a home to stand-out among other esplanade homes. It needed to be modern yet classic enough to be timeless. The residence has excellent street appeal. To the rear, the clients wanted a courtyard suitable for entertaining. The deck was designed to curve up the rear wall creating an illusion of a boardwalk. Concealed under the deck is a sandpit/ storage pit.

Interior
Set over three levels, this modern home has been designed to make the most of the views. The first level incorporates a double garage and rumpus room with stacking sliding doors opening the whole area to the rear courtyard, ideal for parties. The next level encompasses open plan living with an impressive jag kitchen. The third level includes master suite overlooking the beach and boasts a luxury ensuite complete with spa. A lift has been installed to ensure easy access between the three levels.

Results

We have created a highly impressive esplanade home that boasts space and views on an incredibly narrow and tight site. The use of the lift ensures that the three storeys are easily accessible and makes it easy to move items between floors.
High quality fixtures and fittings as well as s designer Jag kitchen help to reflect the opulence of this well-fitted, well designed esplanade home.
