The client wanted a country style home to suite with the semi-rural feel of their property. They liked the idea of incorporating some heritage detailing with the convenience and practicality of a new home.
With young children they wanted to ensure bedrooms were separated from the living areas.
The clients had very specific needs and ideas about their home and requirements.
Exterior
The clients wanted a reproduction heritage style home. The use of sandstone was highlighted by many heritage features such as mouldings, quoins, turned posts, and leadlight.
A large verandah to the rear provide year round outdoor entertaining as well as excellent protection from the western aspect.

Interior
A country feel was the inspiration behind the interior. Timber trims were used in vanities, skirtings and architraves and feature doors to add a feeling of rustic appeal. The main bathroom was featured with a claw footed bath. The kitchen has a painted country finish with a faux fireplace detail for the hot plate/ oven area.
Plaster arch details, cornices and ceiling roses also add to the heritage feel of the home. Built in cupboards throughout the home maximise storage, space and usability of every room.

The home has a unique country feel with practical finishes for a growing family. Special attention to details as well as listening to and understanding what the client wanted to achieve have resulted in a families dream home becoming a reality.
